Barb Jacobson, Chair
Lives in London, UK. Works as a welfare rights advisor and has organised around women’s, health, welfare and housing issues for over 30 years. Currently also Co-ordinator of Basic Income UK and a trustee of the educational charity Citizens Income Trust. “Basic Income beautifully combines the strands of my current and previous work into one key demand.”
Lena Stark, Vice-Chair
Lives in Göteborg, Sweden. Works in a treatment home for troubled teenaged girls. Has been involved in UBIE since February 2014 and is in a process of starting a basic income party in Sweden. Believes that universal basic income is possible, necessary and will change the world into a much better place for everyone.
Dániel Fehér, Vice-Chair
Lives in Berlin, Germany. Campaign manager of the European Initiative “Stop TTIP”. Born in Budapest, studied in Bonn, and graduated at the University College London in 2000, Dániel lived in Brussels 2004-15 and worked there in the campaign for the European Citizen Initiative, as web manager in a communication agency on EU projects and later as political advisor in the European Parliament. Dániel has been supporting the EU level lobbying and publicity efforts of UBIE since 2013.
Nicole Teke, Secretary
Lives in Paris. Is International Coordinator of the French Movement for a Basic Income. Born in Chile, she grew up in France, where she graduated from a Masters degree in conomic and Social Development, specializing in Crisis Management, at Paris 1 – Panthéon Sorbonne University.
Additionally, she has a License degree in Translation and Intercultural Communication. Having a strong interest in humanitarian, human – and especially women’s – rights and alter-globalist issues, she is also an active member of the Human Rights association, France Amérique Latine.
Quentin Fabri, Treasurer
Lives in Brussels, Belgium. Involved in UBIE since the ECI-campaign; active member of the Belgian network for (emancipatory) basic income. Very interested about commons, involved in Recup’kitchen a local project seeking to valorize local food recovery with a mobile kitchen. Passionned about nature. Works as accountant. Deeply convinced by the emancipatory potential of UBI and by its change lever aspect, leading to a better world.
